Page by Page Summary of What’s In this eClass Handout:

Get inspired by the Technicolor brights and festive patterns of Latin culture. Living in San Diego—a stone’s throw from Mexico—Debbie is so fortunate to find inspiration everywhere she goes: the grocery store, in tacquerias, on billboards, at festivals, and from my friends!

Her favorite Mexican tradition is the Day of the Dead holiday (Dia de los Muertos). Spirits of the dead are welcomed back to their homes with beautifully decorated altars made by their loved ones. Sugar skulls, marigolds, candles, incense and special foods adorn home altars. It’s a great holiday to get ideas for the hand painted soap tutorial, this issue’s featured project.

To add Halloween into the mix, Debbie has a soapy trick and a soapy treat for you! Check out 2 fun projects and pick your favorite! When you’re done with this issue you’ll be ready for the shorter days and longer nights that come with Autumn. Enjoy!
