This Class Handout is a digital download. Once purchased, you will find the link to access your document on your MY ACCOUNT page.

Melt & Pour Soap Crafting, also known as “Melt & Pour Soap Making” is an economical and fun hobby for people of all ages. It’s what I first stated with – because I was too impatient for the curing period of Cold Process soap – and I wanted to make friends & family hand crafted items that they could actually use! It’s a wonderful creative outlet – and the only type of soap you can make that is ready to use or gift as soon as it comes out of the mold.

I’ve taught this class at The Nova Studio more times than I can count. In preparing to offer it to you for sale as a “Class Handout” to learn from home, I went back through it page by page. I added colorful pictures, clarified things, and just made sure it included everything someone wanting to get into this fun craft would need.

Melting & pouring a soap base isn’t that complicated. However, making a soap that looks great and is pleasant to use requires some know-how. That’s why in this class handout, I first focus on details of Soap Crafting Basics so you have a solid foundation. Then we move on to several tricky techniques, where people usually run into problems. My goal is for you to skip over all the frustrating, time consuming, and sometimes costly, trial and error. It’s not expecting too much to have amazing bars in your first couple of sessions. If you don’t, I’ll refund your money!

The techniques covered are: Botanical Bars – Using additives like herbs to change the texture and feel of the soap. Layered Bars – How to do multiple pours of different colored soap for a beautiful visual effect. Embedding Toys – I explain how to make my “Aquarium Bar” – that’s a favorite for “kids” of all ages. Confetti Soap – Using pre-made chunks of soap within the new soap. Don’t miss the Quick Reference Guide, which is a table with 24 recommended additives for M&P Soap, such as herbs/botanicals, exfoliants, shells & seeds, and other fun ingredients.
