Lori’s Simple Tile Floor Cleaner

cleaning bucketI’ve had a problem with sticky tile floors every since moving to our new house a few months ago. I purchased several natural cleaners and regardless of how much I diluted them, my floors still felt sticky! I finally had the time to create a simple tile floor cleaner this week and it works great, so I thought I would share it with y’all.

Combine all ingredients below into a 3-gallon or larger sized bucket.

  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 T dawn dish liquid
  • 2 gallons of super hot tap water

You can do it without any scent of course, but I have a bunch of essential oils so I threw together this Citrus Spice EO Blend. Feel free to use any essential oils that you like the smell of.

  • 10 drops Cinnamon Leaf essential oil
  • 5 drops Clove Bud essential oil
  • 10 drops Sweet Orange essential oil (I used a 5-fold)

Add EOs right to the bucket & mop away! If the mop water becomes cloudy or dirty, toss it and mix up another batch. Your floors should be streak-free and clean! If you try it, let us know what you think of it.
