Public Transportation to The Nova Studio

We are in the downtown area (in a store-front business) of Historic Point Richmond, located on the east side of the "Richmond/San Rafael Bridge." Our address is 24 West Richmond Avenue, Point Richmond, CA 94801. Our phone number is 510-234-5700.

1. From San Francisco Airport: Go to the San Francisco Airport BART Station, located on Level 3 of the International Terminal. Purchase tickets from a BART Ticket Vending Machine (tickets must be purchased at the Station) and board the Pittsburg/Bay Point Train (Yellow Line) to the Oakland City Center/12th Street Station. From that Station, transfer to the Richmond Train (Orange Line) and get off at the El Cerrito del Norte Station. For current fares & schedules, see the BART site here.

From the El Cerrito del Norte BART Station catch the AC Transit Bus 72M, northbound direction. Bus is every 30 minutes. For current rates, see the AC Transit website here. Exact change is required for bus tickets. Ride the bus for about 25 minutes & get off at S. Gerrard Blvd. & W. Richmond Ave. in Point Richmond. There is a Mechanics Bank on the corner. Cross over the train tracks & walk 1 block West on W. Richmond Ave. You will see The Nova Studio on the right side of Richmond Ave.

2 . From Oakland Airport: Travelers can take the AirBART Shuttle Bus to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station. AirBART Tickets can be purchased at the Airport or while boarding the AirBART Bus (exact change required). Shuttles depart every 10 minutes. After reaching the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station, purchase tickets from a BART Ticket Vending Machine. Board the Richmond Train (Orange Line) to the El Cerrito del Norte Station. Tickets must be purchased at the Station. For current fares & schedules see the BART website here.

FYI, BART ticket machines will not dispense more than $4.95 in change for any one transaction, so bring smaller bills OR use your credit card.

3 . From the Richmond Amtrak Station: Catch the AC Transit Bus 72M, northbound direction, from the Train Station. Bus is every 30 minutes. See current fares & routes on the AC Transit website here. Ride the bus for about 12 minutes & get off at S. Gerrard Blvd. & Richmond Ave. in Point Richmond. There is a Mechanics Bank on the corner. Cross the train tracks & walk 1 block West on W. Richmond Ave. You will see The Nova Studio on the right side of Richmond Ave.

4. Cab Information: Since cab rides from airports can be expensive, we recommend taking BART from airports to the El Cerrito Del Norte Station. Yellow Cab - Phone Number 415-333-3333. Their website here has fare estimates that will help you plan your trip. Approximate mileage to The Nova Studio from Oakland Airport is 23 Miles; From San Francisco International Airport is 28 miles; from El Cerrito del Norte BART is 4 miles; & from Richmond BART/Amtrak is 3 miles.
