"I'd like to thank you for your great weekend workshop on PMC. You were outstanding!
The class moved along so quickly, and you kept up an interesting pace, teaching us with infinite patience about PMC and how to make beautiful items from this magical material. Your organized presentation, depth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and your professionalism made the class one of the best weekend learning events I have ever attended." - Anne Wright

Have you ever wanted to make custom silver jewelry?
Now is your chance (and i
t’s easier than you think)!

Precious Metal Clay or PMC is real silver suspended in a clay-like medium. It’s non-toxic and requires very little training or special equipment.

Day 1: We'll start off learning the basics of making beautiful and unique jewelry with PMC. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the basics of PMC: layering and adding textures, stone setting, torch firing (affordable method that you can do at home) and finishing techniques. You decide what to make; either a PENDANT, CHARM or EARRINGS.

In the afternoon we'll make RINGS! You'll build off of the skills we learned in the morning and also learn: correct ring sizing and how to deal with shrinkage plus I'll demo different construction methods. Then you'll design and make you own ring, either a traditional ring or a bypass ring.

Day 2: We'll learn to use PMC Slip to create a beautiful LEAF NECKLACE and a lovely HOLLOW BEAD. Plus I'll demo three other ways to make beads to use in your jewelry designs. We will fire your necklace and then learn how to use liver of sulfur to create a lovely PATINA (to give it the depth of a beautifully aged piece). You will also get a chance to use the TUMBLER to give shine to any of your pieces.

By the end of this fun-filled weekend you will leave with at least 4 completed pieces of silver jewelry designed by YOU, handouts & resources, and the skills necessary to make fine silver jewelry, from start to finish, in your very own home. This class can be repeated as many times as needed as a variety of projects can be made.

The materials fee (which is paid directly to the teacher on the first day of class) covers your PMC+, PMC-3, a container of PMC+ Slip, plus in class use of PMC kits, textures, tumbler and kiln - everything needed to create your one-of-a-kind jewelry. Please bring lunch money or a brown bag lunch both Saturday & Sunday.

The best part is...
NO PRIOR JEWELRY MAKING SKILLS ARE NECESSARY!

NOTE:
Students will have the option of purchasing additional supplies from the teacher on the day of class. For example, you may wish to purchase a chain to put your pendant on, additional stones to embellish your creations, or more PMC to work with at home. The teacher will accept cash, CA checks or credit cards.
